Baking tips for cookies and pastry

Indulge in your favorite cookies and desserts without provoking your constitution. Here are some tips!

Sugar coat your cookies

Sprinkle a bit of sugar on top of your cookies before baking. Your taste buds will fool you: the whole cookie will taste sweetand you can add less sugar in the mixture.

Choose natural sugars

Fruit and natural sugars are much less aggravating to the doshas than refined sugar. Use agave syrup or maple syrup. You can also add dates, bananas, or raisins to sweeten your pastry.

Add sweet spices

Your cookies will be more digestible and taste sweeter when you add f.e. cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg, fennel, saffron and cloves.
